Team 'James' to resume shoot in the first week of July with an intense action sequence

With the ongoing "unlock" phase allowing several industries to operate again, the Kannada Film Industry too has gotten busy in regaining the momentum. A number of projects have resumed work over the last few days and one expects the rest to join the bandwagon as soon as possible. For actor Puneeth Rajkumar, the pandemic played spoilsport in a number of ways as the release of his big-budgeted 'Yuvarathanaa' was grossly impacted by the second wave, and the production of the action-thriller 'James' too had to be stalled during the period.
But all is back to being well as the most recent update reveals that team 'James' will begin work again in the first week of July with an intense, high-octane action sequence. Directed by Chethan Kumar, who is popular for films like 'Bahaddur' and 'Bharaate', 'James' is an action-packed entertainer that will feature the Powerstar in a never-before-seen avatar. The same update also states that once the makers manage to wrap up the action sequence, the talkie portion of the film will be shot subsequently. Official updates regarding the same can be expected once the shooting gets underway.

James would be director Chethan Kumar's first collaboration with Puneeth Rajkumar, and for this reason alone, he is leaving no stone unturned in bringing out a special film. The team had headed to Kashmir earlier this year to shoot a few significant portions including a song that had been specially choreographed by A. Harsha and a fight sequence conceived by Vijay Master. Actor Priya Anand, who has previously worked alongside Puneeth in 'Raajakumara', will play the female lead in the film whose principal cast also comprises Anu Prabhakar, Mukesh Rishi, Srikanth, and others.
