It started as an initative by requesting people to donate Rs 30 per meal. It grew bigger and we pooled money from our contacts which helped us to fed nearly 6,000 people. We have distributed 600 ration kits for film daily wage workers who are in dire straits after the industry shut down. We have distributed 1,000 fruit kits among the police, buying the fruits directly from farmers thereby helping them sell their produce. We don’t want people staying in orphanages to be suffering from hunger so we distributed groceries among orphanages and cancer patients as well.
The team also went around Bengaluru to salute cops. “We wanted to express gratitude to the cops who are working round the clock to contain the spread of the pandemic. We paid tribute to the cops by saluting them for their dedication in the time of crisis,” Santhosh adds.
