Ramya loses MLC post to Jayamala

Latest reports say that Dr Jayamala has been nominated for the post of Member of Legislative Council. Hansraj Bharadwaj, governer of Karnataka, is said to have given this nomination a go ahead.
What's to note though is that Jayamala is said to have defeated actress Ramya to this post. Reports also say that Ramya, who was previously considered because she lost in the Lok Sabha elections, was voted out and Jayamala was chosen by the Congress High Command.Seems like Congress is rather disappointed with actress Ramya's loss at the elections.
Meanwhile, Bhavana, who was also said to be in the running for the post is said to have lost because she's still an amateur while Jayamala is a veteran member of the party.
