Actor
Nischith Korodi, who was last seen in
Tom and Jerry, will play a major general in Panchajanya, a war-based film. The project marks the directorial debut of Nagendra Bijur in
Sandalwood.
Nischith, who has already shot for a song in the movie, says, “It’s rare for an actor to play the role of a military officer, so when the opportunity came, I couldn’t say no. The subject is vastly different from my previous outings like Tom Jerry and Gantumoote.
The entire movie revolves around the army and war. In keeping with the title, there are five people in the team. I play Jai Vardhan, one of the key members in the army, I break the windshield of a car in a song which is a highlight in the film. We will commence shooting by this year.”
Nischith will also be seen in the Ranjith-directed Supplier Shankra, as the titular character. “It’s a performance-oriented character. My skin has been darkened to fit the bill. As a supplier, he is a jovial person, who always greets customers with a smile, but a particular incident changes his life,” he signs off.
