Must see: Inside Meghana Raj and Chiranjeevi Sarja's son's cradle ceremony

It was celebrations galore at Sundar Raj's residence as he and his family organised the tottilu shastra or the cradle ceremony for his grandson who he fondly calls Chintu. Mommy Meghana Raj Sarja was seen jubilant in a pink salwar kameez as she was interacting with guests and also sharing her joy as it was the first big function at her home after the birth of Chiranjeevi Sarja and her son.

Meghana said that the naming ceremony of her son will be held soon and it will be as per the traditions and will be held on the right muhurta chosen by the elders

A specially handcrafted cradle by artisans from Dharwad

When quizzed about the cradle, Meghana said it was a specially crafted one made by artisans from Dharwad. This has inscriptions of young Lord Krishna and it was specially made for her. The cradle is said to be around 25 kgs in weight and costs over Rs 1 lakh.

An emotional interaction with the press for Meghana

Meghana also addressed the press in her first public interaction since her husband's passing and the birth of her son. She said that it was a very special occasion and that she felt it was right to call her extended family from the media and talk about the developments as they have been very supportive towards her and her family and that she is grateful for all the space that they have given their family and respected their privacy.

Meghana thanked her pillars of strength

Meghana also spoke about how her family has been her biggest support through this phase and that they have been the biggest pillars of support to her. She also said that if her family members on both sides were the pillars, then her friends have been the mould around it.

Meghana hints at another cradle ceremony in the offering

Meghana also said that this ceremony is just the trailer jokingly and added that there could be another one with the silver cradle chosen by brother-in-law Dhruva Sarja.

A traditional South Indian meal for the family

Guests at the function were treated to a staple South Indian meal which included many of Meghana's favourites and she got to cheat on her post pregnancy diet on this special day
