Kannada actor Darshan shifted to Ballari jail amid tight security

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently in judicial custody in the Renukaswamy murder case, was on Thursday shifted from Parappana Agrahara Central prison here to Ballari prison, amid tight security.What does this jail transfer mean for Darshan:Ballari Central Prison, also called as the ‘Kala Pani of Karnataka’, is known for its lack of basic facilities. Darshan is likely to stay here through September and in case of a court hearing, he will be produced via a video call.
