Parag Tyagi and Shefali Jariwala's love story: A tale that goes beyond time

Shefali Jariwala left the world on June 27, 2025. The world remembers her as an iconic star, but for her husband, Parag Tyagi, she was his world. After her demise, Parag shared several posts in her memory. She left the mortal plane, but in Parag's heart, she remains immortal.After 8 months of her passing, Parag has resumed work. And in this milestone as well, he made sure to make Shefali a part. In the announcement of his new TV show on social media, Parag wrote the caption, “Coming soon .. Chandanbala #shefalijariwala #blessed #love #new.” The inclusion of her name alongside the announcement did not go unnoticed. It is Parag’s way of including her in his achievements, as he has always called her out for her unwavering “support.” Parag and Shefali’s story began in 2010 at a common friend’s dinner party. For Parag, it was love at first sight, and for Shefali, it was a slow-burning love story. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Parag shared that when he got to know Shefali, he realised, “she is beautiful from inside as from outside.” And Shefali had described falling in love as, “I don’t know when exactly we fell in love. Parag and I met and started hanging out. Aur kab pyaar hogaya, pata hi nahi chala." The couple tied the wedding knot in 2014. In a podcast with Paras Chhabra, Shefali Jariwala shared her take on relationships and growing together. The late star said, “When we grow together, travel the world together… saare first experiences together lene ka maja alag hota hai” (experiencing all the “firsts” together is a special type of joy).During the conversation, Shefali shared an insight into her relationship with Parag Tyagi. She believed there was a sense of “balance” between her and her husband, Parag. In the Pinkvilla interview, she also mentioned that to her, it doesn’t feel like they are married, “It is like we are still in the dating phase. I think credit goes to Parag because he keeps things interesting between us all the time,” said Shefali. After her demise, Parag honoured Shefali Jariwala’s dream by starting an NGO dedicated to girls’ education and empowerment. He started ‘Shefali Jariwala Rise Foundation’ as a way to remember his “Pari” (nickname given to Shefali by Parag) and fulfill her dream. The love story of Shefali Jariwala may be left incomplete, but the chapters they shared certainly carried some of their happiest memories. In the truest sense, their love story can’t be measured by its length, but by the depth it carried.
