Happy Birthday Srujan Lokesh: A look at the star’s journey in Sandalwood

Srujan is one of the prominent actors, producers, TV presenters, and radio presenters in the industry. He is known for his humorous acting in the Kannada film industry. Srujan, son of veteran actor Lokesh, started his career in 2002 in a lead role. But, he became popular as a supporting actor in movies. Srujan Lokesh is the grandson of Subbaiah Naidu, who was the first hero in Kannada’s silent movies, and son of actor Lokesh and Girija Lokesh. He was born in Bangalore in 1980 and completed his education in Bangalore in 2001. Srujan got the passion for acting from his father. His sister Pooja Lokesh is also a TV artist in Kannada and Tamil and got married in 2010 to Greeshma, a theatre personality, television actress and Kathakali dancer.

Srujan was brought up in the theatre and film atmosphere, which got him attracted to acting. He started off acting as a child artist in the movies produced by his father Lokesh. He appeared as a child artist in the movie ‘Veerappan’ in 1991 and ‘Bhujangayyana Dashavathara’ in 1990.

After completing his education in 2001, he started his acting career in the lead role in 2002 with the movie ‘Neela Megha Shyma’. His career didn't start well, so he started playing supporting roles and doing guest appearance. He appeared in many movies like ‘Porki’, ‘Chingari’, ‘Edegarike’, ‘Andhar Bahar’, ‘Sapnon Ki Rani’, ‘Jaggu Dada’, ‘Ellidde Illi Tanaka’ and others. After eleven years, in 2013, he signed his second movie ‘Aane Pataaki’ as a lead star.

Srujan Lokesh's father Lokesh had produced many movies. So, Srujan decided to open a production house in the name of his father. He named the production house as ‘Lokesh Productions’, which was founded in 2013. This company has produced many Kannada TV shows.

Srujan Lokesh is not only an actor but also a famous TV host in Kannada. His hosting has attracted many people, which gained him a huge fan following in showbiz.
