Geetha’: 5 reasons to watch the Golden Star Ganesh starrer romantic entertainer

Sandalwood fans are eager for the release of ‘Geetha’ starring Golden Star Ganesh, which features three leading ladies. ‘Geetha’ is a romantic action entertainer, set against the backdrop of Gokak Chaluvali. Scheduled to hit the screens on September 27, here are five reasons to watch the film this Friday!

For the first time the Gokak movement has been featured in a Sandalwood film. The song ‘Kannadiaga’ has been dedicated to all the people who fought in the Gokak movement.

‘Geetha’ features a promising cast with Sandalwood Golden Star Ganesh playing the lead role along with Shanvi Srivastava, and two Malayalam actress Prayaga Martin and Parvathy Arun, who will mark their Sandalwood debut. Also, the film will feature Devaraj, Sudharani, Rangayana Raghu, Achyuth Kumar, Ravishankar Gowda, Ravi Bhat and Vishal Hegde in supporting roles.

For the first time, Golden Star Ganesh is playing the role of an activist. ‘Geetha’ features Ganesh as a fighter involved in the Gokak movement, fighting for the pride of Kannada. He will be seen as a pro-Kannada fighter.

Music director Anup Rubins has composed music for ‘Geetha’. The songs which were released earlier grabbed huge attention. The trailer of the movie has also increased the expectations from the film and its engaging background score adds to the excitement.

'Geetha' was a super hit 1981 film, starring Shankar Nag. Golden Star Ganesh has re-used the name and played on the nostalgia factor. Ganesh’s role in the film is likely to be similar to that of Shankar Nag.
