Anushree to make film debut with Benki Potna

Anushree -- who became a household name ever since her appearance on the reality show Bigg Boss -- has signed on to the play the lead heroine in the Kannada movie Benki Potna. The movie, which is being directed by TK Dayanand, will see Anushree in her first lead role.
Speaking about the role, Anushree said that she had about 10 film offers, but nothing really impressed her.However, when Dayanand narrated the story of Benki Potna to her, she felt it was special, which is why she accepted the offer. She added that the role is so different that even her mother heard the story and wondered whether I would be able to do justice to the role. The cast is currently in rehearsals for the film.
Anushree is said to be playing a village belle in Benki Potna. Since the story is set in Mandya and its surrounding areas, the actress is said to be spending time learning the Mandya dialect. The movie is scheduled for 35 days of shoot.
