Though it’s only been about four classes, actor
Nidhi Subbaiah can’t stop raving about the benefits of aerial yoga. “I work out a lot, but my chiropractor told me my body was too stiff. To fix that, I was advised to stretch, or else the chances of injuring myself were high,” she says, adding, “I’m someone who gets bored easily, so I decided to give aerial yoga a try.” Since she’s from Mysuru, it wasn’t hard to find herself a good trainer. “People come from all over the world to this studio, which is close to my place. It’s so nice to see how everyone supports each other and is always ready to lend a helping hand. The community vibe is really great,” she shares. About the classes, she says, “There is a lot of ‘letting go’ involved in aerial yoga. You must trust the process. I was scared initially, since I wasn’t sure if I would be able to stretch. Also, being suspended made me nervous. But in these classes, I have embraced the process and learnt to let go of my inhibitions.”
