The
Vijayalakshmi Singh directed Yaanaa is set to release on July 12, and a fun dance number from the film, titled the Mirchi Song, releases today. Speaking about the song, Vijayalakshmi says, “It is an entertaining song that is in the film for a good reason.”
Composed by Joshua Shridar, the track has been sung by Supriya Lohith, Indu Nagraj and Santosh Venky, and the lyrics have been penned by
Yogaraj Bhat.
“Yogaraj said that he wanted to be extra careful as this number was being penned for girls with no double entendres,” says Vijayalakshmi, adding, “The song is set in Hubballi, and Yogaraj has brought in the mirchi factor (a food ingredient that the city is known for) into the song.”
The leading actresses — the three sisters, Vaibhavi, Vainidhi and Vaisiri — share, “We had training sessions with Bhushan master (the choreographer) and his team. The steps were challenging, and we even sustained bruises during the sessions. But that did not stop us from wanting to dance. We recently saw the final song and it looks amazing.”
