Saregama Live's Manoj Muntashir’s 'Krishna – Radha Se Ranbhumi Tak' concluded its Mumbai run on February 27.
The production, staged before back-to-back houseful audiences, offered an emotional retelling of Lord Krishna’s journey. It moved through phases of love, philosophy, and war.
Stars gather for a grand evening
The play was attended by several popular figures from the film industry. Among the attendees were
Varun Dhawan, Shilpa Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Ravi Dubey, Sargun Mehta, Gaur Gopal Das, Jasmin Bhasin, Bharti Singh. The Maharashtra Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar also witnessed the play.
Directed by choreographer Punit J Pathak, the narrative travelled from the gentle poetic world of Radha’s love to the intensity of Kurukshetra. The intention was to present Krishna’s evolution through prem, neeti aur yudh (Love, moral, and war) in a way that connected with today’s audience without losing the sentimental value in the narrative.
Manoj Muntashir opens up on the impact
Lyricist Manoj Muntashir expressed deep gratitude for the response in a statement, “Sharing the story of Lord Krishna in such a grand way has been a truly special experience."
Manoj Muntashir further said that seeing one of the biggest auditoriums full and witnessing how this journey touched people of all ages was exactly the reason why the makers created such a show.
The lyricist cum poet concluded the statement by saying, "It’s a heartfelt tribute to the greatest storyteller, and I’m so glad the audience felt that same connection.”
