Many Bollywood playback singers take time out from their film recording schedules to work on their independent music projects. In the latest instance,
Dilbar and
Veere Di Weddingsinger Dhvani Bhanushali came up with a single,
Teri Hun. It’s a heartbreak song, which also has a garba feel in the production. The track has been worked on by composer duoSachin-Jigar and the lyrics have been penned by
Priya Saraiya.
Talking about the inspiration behind the song, Dhvani Bhanushali says, “The idea and vision was to depict the story of an upcoming artiste in a simple way. That inspired the number. It’s asad romantic pop number, which released last week. In just about seven days, the track has garnered 70 million views, which is good for an original song. I feel elated and content.”
The singer says she will continue to release independent music along with her movie projects. “I always wanted to strike a balance in between film and non-film music, and I’m glad I’m able to do that,” says Dhvani, who considersShreya Ghoshal,
Sonu Nigam and Beyoncé her idols.
