In a rare and moving moment for Indian devotional music, composer-producer Rameez Sohail has brought together three generations of the legendary Sabri gharana in his latest Sufi-inspired creation. Born from Sohail’s show, the song stands as a powerful tribute to a musical lineage that has shaped the soul of Qawwali for decades.
It features the voices of the original Sabri Brothers, alongside Shabab Sabri and Rayan Sabri, creating a historic confluence of generations in one composition. Shadab says, “With lyrics penned by Danish Sabri, and music composed, produced, mixed and mastered by Rameez Sohail, the track is both a celebration of tradition and a contemporary interpretation of Sufi expression. Beyond its musical depth, the project also makes innovative use of advanced AI visual recreation in its music video, paying homage to the original Sabri Brothers and honouring their timeless presence. The result is a seamless blend of devotional intensity and modern soundscapes—rooted in reverence yet resonant with today’s listeners.”

Speaking about the project, Rameez Sohail said, “This song is my heartfelt tribute to the timeless Sabri legacy.
Bringing three generations together in one musical expression felt truly divine, and creating this track was an emotional journey. The song carries the depth of tradition while embracing the freshness of today’s sound, making it a bridge between eras.”
For Shabab Sabri, the song marks a deeply personal milestone. “Singing this song felt like paying a musical tribute to our ancestors. This song marks a deeply emotional milestone for our family, as it brings our heritage to life once again. It is pure devotion, born from our legacy and offered with love to listeners everywhere,” he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Rayan Sabri reflected on what the project means for the younger generation. “Being part of this song is an incredible honour for my generation. I constantly felt the blessings and presence of our elders guiding us. This song truly reflects the moment where our rich heritage meets the future of our music.”
Lyricist Danish Sabri described the writing process as deeply spiritual. “Every word I penned came from a place of devotion and deep respect for the generations before us. Seeing three generations come together for this composition feels like a blessing, and this song stands as a heartfelt tribute to our family’s enduring legacy.”
