Many have taken a liking to the music of “Jodi Breakers”. The songs – whether it’s “Kunwara”, “Bipasha Bipasha”, “Mujhko Teri Zaroorat Hai” or “Darmiyaan” – are turning out to be chartbusters. In fact, the music of the film has not only appealed to the city people, but also those in small towns and villages.
Salim of Salim-Suleiman said, “The music of “Jodi Breakers” has reached every nook and corner of the nation.
And we are not talking from our hat.”
Salim further added, “The other day we had a concert in Manipal. Compared to the cities, it is a small town. But believe me when I say that a crowd of 8000 people broke into a frenzy when I sang “Kunwara”. It was on their lips. They were all screaming, “Kunwara, kunwara…”. And they all called for encore. We never expected this kind of a reaction. It took me by surprise”
Besides “Kunwara”, “Bipasha Bipasha” too, is a favourite with the masses. “We’ve been flooded with compliments for that number. Even the other songs, “Mujhko...” and “Darmiyaan” have hit high notes as far as the song ratings are concerned,” said Salim smiling.
Lyricist Irshad Kamil said, “Appreciation of hard work motivates me. I’m glad that the songs are chartbusters. People have liked the contemporary feel to these songs.”
