'Junoon' for Indo-Pak match
Salman Ahmad of the Pakistani band Junoon has dedicated his song, “Ghoom tana” to both the Indian and Pakistani teams as they clash against each other for the World Cup semi-final at Mohali today.
Excitement on the other side of the border is palpable as the singer-activist, among many others, has expressed the desire to come down for the mother of all matches.

“If I can get there in time from New York after my event, I’ll board a flight. Otherwise, I’ll certainly be there in spirit singing “Ghoom tana”, said the singer. Ahmad, who is all praise for Shahid Afridi and Misbah-ul-Haq, had earlier said in an interview that during a Pakistan flood relief event in London, he had met Afridi, whose eyes showed deep hurt and frustration over the spot-fixing scandals. Ahmad added that whatever be the outcome at Mohali, the spirit of the song will stay with both teams.
