The stellar event of 2011 — the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards is finally here to dazzle your screens. On music’s biggest night, ten-time Grammy winner and Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Bob Dylan will perform with current Grammy Mumford & Sons and folk-rock band the Avett Brothers in a special salute to acoustic music.

Six-time Grammy winner and current nominee Dr. Dre — in his first live television performance in more than a decade — will grace the stage (at the Staples Center in Los Angeles) for the first time joining current ten-time nominee Eminem for a historic collaboration.
Another first, don’t miss the ‘In Memoriam’ tribute being paid by Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Mick Jagger accompanied by R&B icon Raphael Saadiq. Back home, our music makers are all excited about this too. Vishal Dadlani says, “These are some of the greatest performers the world has known. I think there’s a strong chance that either Alice In Chains or Soundgarden might win.” While Luke Kenny opines, “You have most of the popular genres nominated for the very important category. For album of the year there is country, rap, indie-rock. I think there are some great acts in every genre this year.” Furthermore, Vh1 and Idea, for the first time in India, gave one winner and a friend the chance to travel VIP style to the ceremony in LA. The winner is Aayush Kothari. So catch the 53rd Grammy Awards live this morning at 6.30 am on Vh1. You can also watch the prime time repeat at 9 pm tonight. The 53rd Grammy Awards will be shown live and exclusively on Vh1, presented by Idea.
