Freddy Daruwala names his son, Evaan

Freddy Daruwala was on cloud nine when he and his wife, Crystal welcomed their first child in February. Their one-month-old son now has a name, Evaan. Talking about the name, Freddy tells BT, “Evaan means young warrior and a grace of God. We were looking for a strong name for our kid. We studied about the impact a name has on a person, and we found out that babies tend to become what their names mean. So, young warrior is what we liked for our son.” Ask him how he has been enjoying his first few days as a father, and Freddy doesn’t shy away from admitting that he is a doting dad. “Fatherhood is one of the best things that have happened to me. I love the way Evaan looks at me. From changing his diapers and applying moisturiser to giving him a shower, massage and putting him to bed — I’ve been doing it all. The only thing that I can’t do, and I wish I could, is breastfeed him. It’s the most beautiful quality a woman is blessed with,” he says. The actor adds that becoming a father has changed him as a person. “I feel proud of myself with the way I manage work and my time with Evaan. I try to leave from the set early to be with him. I sleep late and wake up early. Earlier I was never in a hurry to go home, but that’s not the case anymore. Before Evaan was born, whenever I rode a motorcycle, I would enjoy the machine to the fullest and not think about anything else. But now, when I take the bike, I constantly keep thinking that Evaan is waiting for me at home and I need to be responsible and take care of myself,” says Freddy.
