Aditya (Shahid Kapur) -A rich industrialist, a broken man. His inherited empire is hollow, he is defeated. The girl he loves is getting married. He drifted, out of the gathering, the city, and found himself on a train, bounding away into the night.
Geet (Kareena Kapoor) - A young girl. Leaving Bombay to elope with her boyfriend. Full of life and plans and talk.
Aditya and Geet meet She irritates him to the point of leaving the train. They are stranded on a desolate station. Without luggage or money. And thus begins the journey in which this odd couple will make it's way to her house in Ambala. They reach Ambala through highs and lows. Only to be mistaken as lovers by the family. She runs away from the house to go to the man of her dreams and he decides to help her reach Manali.
Aditya has now begun to see Geet in a different way. And realizes later that her boyfriend had not accepted her. She is missing. Her family traces him to get her back...
