Like a good actor, Varun Dhawan is also a good son. The actor has worked hard for his upcoming film Sui Dhaga, where he plays the role of a tailor. And during the process, he also learnt some skills in real life too.

Now, we learn that he has used his newly acquired skills to make a handmade gift for his father David Dhawan. Reportedly, on Sr Dhawan's 68th birthday, the 'Judwaa 2' actor gave him a colourful shirt stitched by Varun himself.

Varun said that his dad feels he is still raw and young, however, the gift will prove the filmmaker wrong. Also, he and his filmmaker brother Rohit Dhawan gave their parents a staycation at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. A party was also hosted to celebrate David Dhawan's birthday.

Varun Dhawan to kick off Juhu beach clean-up drive on World Environment Day

One of Bollywood’s most-versatile actors Varun Dhawan supports the volunteer group For Ward 69 formed by the residents of Juhu. As the entire Bollywood film fraternity is pledging for ban on plastic on World Environment Day, Varun Dhawan took another step to give this initiative a bigger platform.

Today on World Environment Day, the ‘October’ actor will do plastic bottle crushing in the plastic bottle-crushing kiosk at Juhu beach to fight single-use plastic pollution and appeal everyone to avoid the use of single use plastic. With the objective of making the area litter-free, he will also speak to encourage the youth to take up this initiative and join hands in the beach cleanup along with the citizens.

When he was approached by the group, he was glad to do his bit for the beautification of the beach. The actor hopes to bring back the beach the way it used to be during his growing-up days.

Talking about how personal this drive is to him, he aid, “I have spent many evening on the beach, playing cricket or enjoying gola with my friends. It pains me to see the state of affairs today. Versova beach is an example of how beaches can be cleaned if people put their mind to it. It's time to make a beginning. I want my newborn niece to play on Juhu beach, like we used to, as kids.”

Varun Dhawan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Kalank’ opposite Alia Bhatt. The movie is being crowned as the biggest muti-starrer which also has Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles.

Varun Dhawan to begin shooting for dance film with Katrina Kaif next year?

Varun Dhawan, who turns 31 today, is on top of his game. The actor just saw the release of the Shoojit Sircar film ‘October’ and has his work diary full of new offers. The actor has just started the shooting of his next big flick ‘Kalank’ – a multi-starrer period drama which will be wrapped up by November.
According to the reports, the actor will then take a break in December and will polish his dancing skills for Remo D’Souza’s film alongside Katrina Kaif, which will go on floors only in early 2019 and will be made in 4DX format. He will then star in Karan Johar’s warrior film ‘Rannbhoomi’.

For the record, Varun has already acquired the coveted slot of romancing the ruling divas from Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma to Katrina Kaif.

Varun Dhawan is all set to celebrate his 31st birthday tomorrow. The actor's recent film 'October' received a good response from the audience. Now he has even begun shooting for his upcoming film 'Kalank'. While one might have thought that Varun will take a break to celebrate his birthday, but latest reports suggest that Varun will be celebrating his birthday on the sets of 'Kalank'.

According to a report in an entertainment portal, director Abhishek Varman has organised a special feast for Varun on the sets. Reportedly a cake cutting ceremony along with a lavish menu is organised by the team. The menu will include all of Varun Dhawan's favorite delicacies.

Varun gets drunk to shoot emotional scene with Alia for ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’

It is hard enough for actors to pull off an emotional scene with conviction, let alone being drunk while trying to nail it. But one just simply cannot hold the same yardstick for actor Varun Dhawan. According to reports, the star, who is shooting for his latest rom-com ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, chose to get into the skin of his character before enacting an emotional scene with his beautiful co-star Alia Bhatt. Varun had to ‘act’ drunk while narrating an emotional dialogue, to his on-screen ladylove. However, the actor thought it would look more ‘authentic’ if he was really intoxicated and thus ended up having a few neat shots of whisky to get him in high spirits.
