Top 5 moments of 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013

Deepika Padukone was overwhelmed to receive the Best Actor (Female) in a leading role at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013 for ‘Goliyon ki Raasleela – Ram Leela’. Shahid Kapoor and Rekha presented the award to her. The actress also did seek Rekha’s blessing by touching her feet. Deepika said, "Thank you Idea and Filmfare. This is for my mother. I missed her during the shoot. This award is very special for me. As a child, Filmfare Awards was one thing we would sit and see together in the family."

Supriya Pathak Kapur won Best Actress in a Supporting Role for ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram-Leela’. Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu presented the award to her. Shahid Kapoor, who was backstage came running on the stage to hug her.

Dhanush won the Best Debut (Male) Award for Raanjhanaa at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013. Dhanush said to Ranbir, “Your stage presence is as good as your screen presence”. Further on Ranbir’s request, he sung ‘Kolaveri Di’ on stage. Dhanush further added, “It took me a lot of time to get over that song. It’s boring.” Dhanush also said, “I have done 25 films and this is my Best Debut Award. There is always more to learn and you are always a newcomer."

Rekha and Ranbir Kapoor shared a special moment at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013, held at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Ranbir Kapoor, who hosted the awards along with Priyanka Chopra, was overwhelmed meeting the guests at the event.

Preity Zinta snubbed reporters and refused to give interviews on the red carpet of the Filmfare Awards. Preity Zinta presented the award to Rakesh Omprakash Mehra for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag seemed all chirpy and cheerful.
