Bollywood is known for its grand budgets and star-studded parties. Every year, there have been specific occasions where some big parties were held which brought the who’s who of B-town under one roof. The year 2017 was also no exception with a lot of exciting things happening this year to keep the celebs on their toes. So here’s looking back at a few such memorable parties from the year that is about to go by…

Actress Sagarika Ghatge got engaged to Zaheer Khan in May and subsequently married him last month. Back when they got engaged, the couple hosted a big bash for many from Bollywood and the sporting world. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma also made an appearance and their joint appearance became the talk of the town. Also present at the occasion were Rohit Sharma with his wife Ritika, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar with his wife Anjali, Yuvraj Singh, Aakash Ambani, Arshad Warsi, Maria Goretti, Abhishek Kapoor, Pragya Yadav, Raveena Tandon, Bobby Deol, Mandira Bedi among many others.

Bigshot filmmaker and producer Karan Johar had perhaps the biggest celeb birthday bash this year. Almost the entire film industry turned up for the grand party. Bollywood is known to celebrate Diwali with gusto and who better to throw a party than Sanjay Dutt and his wife Maanayata. Sanju Baba hosted a grand bash on the occasion of Diwali which was graced by a lot of stars like Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor with his wife Neetu Kapoor and many others. The show stoppers for the evening turned out to be Shilpa Shetty who came with her hubby Raj Kundra and Sonali Bendre, who dazzled the paparazzi. Shah Rukh Khan had a really special birthday this year. The actor headed off to his beach house in Alibaug with friends and family. At a private, yet happening, get-together were -- wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan, good friends Karan Johar and Farah Khan, Shweta Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra, Shanaya Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey. The proud parents hosted a really big birthday bash which was attended by a lot of celebs who came to bless the little birthday girl. Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s little girl Aaradhya turned six on November 20. And just like every year, the Bachchans pulled all stops to make it a memorable day for the little one. The Ambani family hosted a grand bash earlier this month to honour the arrival of London’s mayor Sadiq Khan.
