Imran Khan reportedly approached for the lead role

Much before Ayushmann was finalized as the leading man for the film, it was rumoured that the makers had someone else on their mind for the part. According to reports, ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ actor Imran Khan was earlier attached to play the lead in the Bollywood remake of ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’, before the plan was dropped and later Ayushmann made his way to the part opposite Bhumi Pednekar.
