Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya has finally parted ways with husband Ashwin. Their marriage came to an end on Tuesday when the principal family court judge Maria Clatta formalised the separation. The two were married for seven years and have a four-year-old son. Reports say that the court proceedings went on for seven months but were smooth and the decision of getting a divorce was mutual. The couple was firm on ending their marriage but neither the terms of settlement nor the custody of their son have been revealed till now. The couple, married on September 3, 2010. Lawyers privy to the divorce proceedings said the couple had been living separately for about seven months now, and their misunderstanding over various issues reached a point of no return earlier than that.

Though initially the news of marital discord was being denied by both Soundarya and Ashwin, the fact that Soundarya kept saying that she always felt proud to identify herself as 'Soundarya Rajinikanth', triggered debate over the status of their marriage.
They later came out in the open about the ongoing case and appeared in court together. The separate proceedings were smooth and without much ado.

Popular music director and singer Himesh Reshammiya has ended his 22-year long marriage to wife Komal. The couple, who announced their decision to end their marriage last year, was granted divorce by Bombay Court on the evening of June 6.

Speaking about the same, Himesh released a statement saying, "Sometimes in life mutual respect becomes most important and giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and me have amicably decided to part ways legally as husband and wife, and there is no problem whatsoever with this decision amongst us and our family as every member of the family have respected our decision. Komal is and will always remain a part of our family and I will always be a part of her family."

Komal also shared that although they have decided to go their seperate ways, that the two have nothing but respect for each other. Citing "compatibility issues" as a reason for the separation, she said, "Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going with this decision to part ways legally but mutual respect will always be there between us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same is with him towards my family. There are compatibility issues in our marriage. We are separate but we respect each other immensely. Nobody else should be dragged into this matter and nobody else is responsible for this. The reason for our marriage not working is only and only compatibility.”

The couple has a son together, Swayam. According to reports, Komal will be living in the same building where Himesh resides.

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan, who got married in 1998, were granted divorce by the Bandra family court in Mumbai, on Thursday, thus ending their 18-year-long marriage. The couple, who had filed for divorce last November after living separately for a while, arrived in the same car for their final divorce proceedings. None of their family members were spotted with them at the court.

The custody of their son Arhaan will reportedly remain with Malaika, while Arbaaz will have access to his son whenever he wants.

The estranged couple was spotted partying together with their son just last evening, at the Justin Bieber Concert at D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Even post their separation, Malaika and Arbaaz have been spotted partying together on many occasions over the past few months. Buzz is that the two plan to continue to work together and are likely to co-produce 'Dabangg 3' that is expected to go on floors in a year.

After filing for divorce on October 19, 2016, Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani were granted divorce by the Family Court in Mumbai on Monday, April 24. The couple, who got married back in 2000, had filed for divorce on mutual consent. According to reports, the custody of their two daughters Shakya and Akira will remain with Adhun while the ‘Rock On’ actor will have access to his kids whenever he wants. The estranged couple reportedly came to the Family Court in Bandra, Mumbai, during the second session on Monday where they made an appearance before principal marriage counsellor VS Athavale. Post this, the duo went before principal judge MM Thakare and were consequently granted divorce.

Contrary to reports stating that Malaika Arora Khan has dropped ‘Khan’ from her name, post separating from husband Arbaaz, the actress and television host has assured fans that those reports are not true. Malaika, who is currently on a vacation with her son, shared a picture of a thank you note, where she is addressed as ‘Ms Arora Khan’. While we are certain now that she has kept the ‘Khan’ name, many are questioning her ‘Ms’ title, instead of ‘Mrs’. Priyadarshan-Lissy: Priyadarshan and wife Lissy have finally parted ways. Speculations of an impending divorce were doing the rounds for a year now. The director and his actress-turned-entrepreneur wife have filed for a divorce. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Lissy, who starred in more than a dozen films made by Priyadarshan in the '80s, released a statement on Monday, which confirmed the long-standing rumours. Her statement read, "It is with profound sadness that I am announcing that I and Priyadarshan have decided to get separated after 24 years of marriage. I have filed for divorce today (Monday) in Chennai family court. Both our children and close friends are aware of this decision". While some earlier reports suggested that Lissy demanded Rs 80 crore as remuneration for taking care of Priyan's businesses, in an interview to Mumbai Mirror she denied the allegation. The report quotes her as saying, "Our differences revolved mainly around my company, Four Frames Sound Company (she is the Managing Director of FFSC). Matters snowballed and our egos came in the way. The situation got out of hand. But let me clarify that I did not ask for Rs 80 crore." However, Priyadarshan refused to divulge any details to Mumbai Mirror and instead requested respect of their privacy.

Rahul Roy-Rajlaxmi: Aashiqui hero, Rahul Roy seems to have decided to part ways with his wife, Rajlaxmi. According to a Mid-day report, Rahul Roy and Rajlaxmi have decided to split up and have also filed for a divorce with mutual consent. The report further quotes Rahul Roy as saying that Rajlaxmi would still remain an integral part of his life. Reportedly Rahul Roy and Rajlaxmi had been in love and married for 14 years and their divorce comes as a huge shock.

Karisma Kapoor-Sunjay Kapur: After a broken relationship with Abhishek Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor married Sunjay Kapur. The couple seemed to be happily married and had two kids too - Samaira and Kiaan. After the birth of their second child, Karisma shifted base to Mumbai and started working on her Bollywood re-launch. That is when news of a divorce started doing the rounds. The duo had been living apart since a long time and the rumour mills were abuzz with an alleged extra-marital affair of Karisma's husband Sunjay Kapoor but Karisma kept denying it. However, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the two have filed for a divorce. Initially what seemed to be a happy marriage, has ended on a bitter note.

Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Roshan:
They were the picture perfect couple of Bollywood. Hrithik and Sussanne were a couple blindly in love. Their love story is like a fairytale, with two cute kids - Hrehaan and Hridaan. However soon cracks began to appear, with strong rumours of an impending divorce. Finally in 2013, Hrithik and Sussanne announced their separation, following it up with news of a divorce in April, 2014 and a family court in Mumbai granted them divorce by mutual consent on November 1. This news shocked the entire industry.

Aamir Khan–Reena Dutta: Reena Dutta was Aamir Khan's childhood sweetheart. She stood by the actor at all times. Aamir and Reena kept their marital status under wraps for some time. The duo even have two kids - Junaid and Ira. But after 15 years of marriage, Aamir and Reena parted ways. Reena got the custody of the kids and Aamir went on to marry Kiran Rao, but still shares a strong bond with his kids and a cordial one with ex-wife Reena.

Saif Ali Khan–Amrita Singh: Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh were in love and soon tied the knot. There was an age gap of 12 years between Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. After 13 long years of marriage and two kids - Sara and Ibrahim, the couple opted for a divorce. The couple parted ways, following reports of Saif getting close to Rosa Catalano. Currently the kids live with their mother, while Saif is happily married to actress Kareena Kapoor.

Rahul Mahajan-Dimpy: This couple is an outcome of reality television. Rahul Mahajan and Dimpy Ganguly got married on national television, through a reality show. Rahul chose his bride from the many ladies who competed to be Mrs Mahajan. The small screen actor had himself selected his bride-to-be, through a process. However news of a broken marriage soon started haunting the couple. With reports also stating that Rahul had become physically abusive with Dimpy. Finally in 2014, A Mumbai Mirror report stated that Dimpy and Rahul had filed for divorce.

Chitrangada Singh–Randhawa: It was yet another case of a Bollywood actress getting hitched to a sportsperson. Chitrangada Singh and Jyoti Singh Randhawa came across as a couple who was much in love till talks of a split began surfacing. Chitrangada and Jyoti have a son Zorawar. Chitrangada came to Mumbai to follow her filmy aspirations, when news of their divorce first came up. Finally in 2014, the duo was legally separated.

Manisha Koirala–Samrat Dahal: In 2010 Manisha Koirala tied the knot with businessman Samrat Dahal. The actress was doing well in her career and decided to take the plunge. But soon, the marriage was in doldrums. According to a report in Times of India, the free spirited nature of the actress was reportedly blamed for the trouble in their married life. Having separated, Manisha returned to the glamour of Mumbai. And in 2012, she was detected with Cancer. Following which she went to the US for treatment.
