Late on Sunday (July 12, 2015), Shahid Kapoor introduced his bride, Mira Rajput Kapoor, to his film family. The couple was the cynosure of all eyes at the 37th floor of a central Mumbai five-star hotel that was booked for the reception. Every detail, from the décor to the menu, was supervised by the newly weds who left to get dressed only after they were satisfied with the arrangements, reports Mumbai Mirror. On one level guests mingled with each other, had a drink and a bite, on the second level, the couple met and greeted the guests, the report stated. "Shahid never left his bride's side or let go of her hand, personally introducing her to every one. Mira was charming, respectful and not overwhelmed in the company of stars," a guest was quoted in Mirror, adding that the groom was dapper in a three-piece suit designed by Kunal Rawal. Mira wore an ivory and blue lehenga designed by Manish Malhotra and jewellery by Nirav Modi. Further to the report, the banquet hall was decorated with flowers and lights, the spread was tasty vegetarian fare but there was no naach gaana. "Around 1:30 am, the party shifted to the club next door, and there everyone swung a leg to trance, electronica and Shahid's chartbusters," added the source.

Shahid’s mom, Supriya Pathak, was spotted attending a phone call in the spa area on the 10th floor. She was dressed in a cream kurta salwar.

Big B was among the first ones to arrive. Sonam Kapoor also arrived soon with her dad, Anil Kapoor. Sonam looked absolutely breathtaking in a blue and green anarkali. Kangana Ranaut was amongst the next few to arrive. The Queen actress, opted for a pink saree and paired it up with glittering neckpiece and clutch. She looked mesmerising in this Indian avtar.

Shahid Kapoor's Udta Punjab and Shandaar co- star, Alia Bhatt also attended the event. Alia looked refreshing in a white and blue chic ensemble. She chose to keep her hair neatly straightened. Kareena Kapoor is also a part of Shahid Kapoor's Udta Punjab. A lot of speculations were made on whether Bebo would attend Shahid's Mumbai reception or not.

Ranveer Singh, who has just wrapped up the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, along with Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, arrived pretty late for the event. He sported the Bajirao moustache look. Ranveer looked dashing in a tuxedo. Ranveer’s buddy, Arjun Kapoor, also arrived late for the event, but happily posed for the shutterbugs.
