Roy actress Jacqueline Fernandez thinks that Kick re-launched her career in a way and hoped that the winning streak continued with Roy as well. According to a report on Dnaindia.com, Jacqueline feels that the 'S' word has worked wonders for her. The report quoted her saying that she always consults Salman Khan before signing anything. Salman has been very lucky for the actress and has always supported her, Jacqueline added. The report further quoted her saying that she owes Salman a lot for the way her career has shaped up. Coincidentally, other people Jacqueline discusses her projects with, too, have names starting with her favourite letter 'S'. Beside Salman, she talks to Sajid Nadiadwala, Sujoy Ghosh, Sonam Kapoor, concluded the report.

Ranbir Kapoor, who had an extended cameo in Roy, was apparently irked by the makers of the film giving him prominence in the promotional posters. According to a report on Mid-day.com, the first look of Roy had not gone down well with Ranbir. The report quoted sources saying that the actor, who had a short role in the film, was unhappy with the film being promoted as a regular RK-starrer film. Industry insiders suggested that Ranbir decided not to promote the film, the report further stated, quoting a source, "Roy is essentially an Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez film but the way it is being projected — giving Ranbir unwanted prominence in the posters — is funny. In fact, it is misleading. Ranbir has not spoken about the film which is a tell-tale sign.”

Ranbir and Jacqueline romance: Jacqueline Fernandez made her debut with Aladin in 2009 and went on to do films like Housefull, Murder 2 and the blockbuster Kick, where she was paired opposite Salman Khan. For the first time, she shared screen space with the Kapoor scion where she romanced Ranbir. Jacqueline took to social media to talk about the film extensively. Ranbir returned after a hiatus: After the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and the poor performance of Besharam at the box office, Ranbir was not to be seen on the silver screen for a long time, over one and a half years to be precise. Whatever Ranbir does, is highly anticipated as he is one of the brightest stars of his generation and has even impressed his seniors with performances in films like Barfi! Rockstar, Rajneeti to name a few. Following in the footsteps of Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan in the Dhoom series, Ranbir too played a thief in this film.

Storyline: This romantic thriller revolved around Arjun, Ranbir and Jacqueline. In the film, Arjun plays a film director whose hero is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. Ranbir, whose name in the film is also Roy, is actually a big thief who has pulled off impossible heists. He has dodged bullets, chased cars and yet, no authority has been able to get to him. Jacqueline Fernandez has a double role and is essaying the role of a film director.

Unique cast: Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez coming together on the silver screen is a first. While Arjun was last seen in D-Day, Jacqueline has been riding high on the success of Kick that has been one of the biggest blockbusters of 2014.
