​‘Coolie No. 1’: Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan make for the perfect bridal couple in latest still

Varun Dhawan’s marriage to Natasha Dalal in 2020 has been the hottest news to make its way out of B-town. But, while fans and well-wishers eagerly await an official announcement on the same, this ‘Coolie No.1’ still of the hunk with his beautiful co-star Sara Ali Khan should do.

After ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Simmba’, Sara Ali Khan is all set to impress the audience by stepping into the shoes of Karisma Kapoor in the official remake of David Dhawan’s ‘Coolie No. 1’ with Varun Dhawan.

The young actress recently opened up about her experience working with Varun and needless to say she was all praise for the actor. Speaking about the same, Sara reportedly said that it has been her dream to work with Varun. She revealed that he is a completely crazy person on the sets. Apart from this, Sara will also be seen in filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s next. The film has been tentatively titled, ‘Aaj Kal’. She will be seen sharing screen space with her ex-beau Kartik Aaryan in the movie.

‘Coolie No. 1’: Anupam Kher to step into Kader Khan’s shoes for the Varun Dhawan starrer?

Father-son duo David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan, are all set to collaborate once again for 'Coolie No 1', a remake of the 1995. While the remake will star Varun and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, reports are rife that the makers have also roped in actor Anupam Kher.

According to reports, Anupam will be seen taking on Kader Khan's role of playing Karisma Kapoor’s father in the original. There have also been talks about veteran star Paresh Rawal coming on-board for the film.

Anupam had been a regular in Dhawan's film during the 1990s and 'Judwaa 2', where he played Jacqueline Fernandez’ reel life father.

'Coolie No. 1' is expected to release on May 1, 2020.

Paresh Rawal to step into Kader Khan’s shoes for ‘Coolie No. 1’ remake?

After ‘Judwaa’, filmmaker David Dhawan is all set to make an official remake of yet another of his films and this time it is Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer, ‘Coolie No. 1’. While the remake will star Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan in the lead, reports are rife that the makers have also roped in actor Paresh Rawal.

According to reports, Paresh Rawal will be seen essaying the role of Kader Khan in the film who played the character of Karisma’s father in the original film.

Earlier, speaking about being a part of the remake, Varun had reportedly told IANS, “I feel honoured, grateful and uncontrollably excited to be a part of the remake! That's the next challenge that I'm ready to take up.”

​‘Laaxmi Bomb’: Kiara Advani commences work on next with Akshay Kumar

Kiara Advani, who has been on a roll bagging some big ticket film projects, has now begun work on her next with Akshay Kumar titled ‘Laaxmi Bomb’.

It's Official: Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan to star in the remake of 'Coolie No 1'

Varun Dhawan, who recently impressed us with his stellar performance in Abhishek Varman's 'Kalank' turns a year older today and the makers of his next film have officially released a statement ending all the speculations which were making rounds on the internet.

"It's official... After 25 years David Dhawan and Vashu Bhagnani come back together to adapt their timeless comedy, 'Coolie No 1'. The film starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan begins shoot this August," a statement from the makers read.

Speculations making rounds were that Sara, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Kedarnath', would be playing the female lead opposite Varun in the modern adaptation of the hit comedy which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead.

This film will also mark the second collaboration of Varun and David on the silver screen as the father-son duo had joined hands for 'Judwaa 2'.

​Tara Sutaria to lend her voice for a song in her next opposite Ahan Shetty

Tara Sutaria who will be making her Bollywood debut in Punit Malhotra's 'Student of the Year 2' has already signed her next film. After 'SOTY2', Tara will be starring in the remake of South film 'RX100'. The film marks the debut of Suniel Shetty's son Ahan Shetty.


Well, apart from her acting skills, she is also good at singing. And, according to the latest reports, Tara will croon a romantic song for her film with Ahan.

‘Coolie No. 1’ remake: Makers to recreate ‘Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha’ and ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ songs for the film

After reprising the role of Salman Khan in the remake of his film ‘Judwaa’, Varun Dhawan is all set to step into the shoes of Govinda in the upcoming remake of ‘Coolie No. 1’ which will also star Sara Ali Khan playing the role of Karisma Kapoor in the film.

Now, according to the latest reports, the makers are all set to incorporate the reprised versions of the popular songs ‘Main Toh Raste Se Jaa raha Tha’ and ‘Husn Hai Suhana’ in the remake version of the film. It is also being reportedly said that we might not see Varun's character in the Coolie uniform like the original one because in today's times, no coolie wears red and white uniform and instead prefers jeans and t-shirts.

Varun Dhawan to step into Govinda's shoes for 'Coolie No 1' remake?

Recently, it came to light that producer Prernaa Arora is reportedly buying the remake rights of Rekha starrer 1978 classic 'Ghar'. There were even talks of casting already in progress. Producer Prerna Arora reacts to rumours of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opting out of 'Woh Kaun Thi' remake

It was reported for quite some time that film producer Prerna Arora is coming up with a remake of Manoj Kumar and Sadhana starrer 'Woh Kaun Thi'. Initial reports suggested that the film will feature none other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the leading role. Bollywood has seen its fair share of remakes over the past few years and it appears that the trend isn’t going away any time soon. Sushant Singh Rajput to star in Hindi remake of 'Bangalore Days'?

Remakes of South films is the new trend in Bollywood. And Sushant Singh Rajput is the new addition to the list. Reportedly, the actor has shown his interest in a Malayalam film. Abbas-Mustan to remake 'Tunnel', a Korean survival drama in Hindi

Gone are the days when makers search for an original content to make a film. These days, remakes are the trend. After Shashank Khaitan's 'Dhadak', which is 'Sairat's remake and Mukesh Chhabra's 'Kizie Aur Manny', which is a remake a of a Hollywood film 'The Fault In Our Stars', the men in White Abbas-Mustan are all set to remake a Korean survival drama, titled ,'Tunnel' in Hindi.

The story revolves around a man, who is on his way back home with a cake to celebrate his daughter's birthday and while on his way, he has to drive through a tunnel, which suddenly collapses.

The drama enfolds when he gets up and finds himself trapped in a car under tons of concrete and debris. His struggle to survive and reach home is what the story is all about.

We expect a power packed performer to play the lead role in the movie.

Ever since the remake of ‘The Fault in our Stars’ was announced, the audience and Bollywood fans were eager to know more about the much-anticipated project. The movie which is originally based on a beautiful love story penned in a novel by author John Green, talks about two young people battling cancer and how they serenade to love.

Yesterday, the makers announced the official poster of the movie titled ‘Kizie Aur Manny’. The author of ‘The Fault in our Stars’ John Green very sweetly tweeted and said, “I want to see this movie more than I have ever wanted to see any movie.”

To this, Sushant Singh Rajput who plays the lead actor in the film, too replied and said, “It’s such a wonderful book John, thanks once again for writing it, and we shall try our best not to let you down. Shahid Kapoor to prepone his schedule of 'Arjun Reddy' remake?

It is a known fact that Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput are expecting their second child this year. During this time Shahid Kapoor wants to by Mira's side. Shahid who will soon begin with the prepping of 'Arjun Reddy' remake has apparently asked the makers of the film if they could start the schedule early so that he could take a month-long break as his paternity leave.

Shahid Kapoor to star in Hindi remake of Telugu hit 'Arjun Reddy'?

Rohit Shetty’s directorial ‘Simmba’ starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan is one of the most anticipated films of 2018. Tiger Shroff’s ‘Rambo’ remake set for 2020 release?

Tiger Shroff’s high octane action flick ‘Baaghi 2’ is having a record run at the box office and is proving to be the biggest hit yet for the young hunk. “The initial plan is to make ‘Rambo’ into a franchise, but that can happen only if the part one does well. We need to bring the first film out and then see if the audience wants to watch more of this character or not. It will go on floors by 2019 end and release in 2020," he said to PTI.

The film will see Tiger take on the role of ‘Rambo’, made famous by Sylvester Stallone and will shoot around Europe and the Himalayas.

The fist look of Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha’s upcoming ‘Ittefaq’ remake was dropped online late Thursday night by the Badshah of Bollywood himself, Shah Rukh Khan. The actor, who is a joint producer of the film, shared an intriguing image of a handcuffed Sidharth in a woeful state. Speaking about his role in the film, Sidharth said, "My role is that of an intense man; there is a certain element of suspense as he is a suspect for murder. It's a murder mystery, something we haven't seen in a while. I am excited to bring back a genre, which has almost been dead for many years. It's an adaptation and is inspired by the original."
Sidharth also revealed that the plot will undergo slight changes, as everyone knows the original film and that the same storyline would not leave any room for mystery.

‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ to be remade

Over the last decade or so, a number of old Hindi films have been remade. However, only few have actually succeeded at the box office. But despite that, the trend refuses to die down. Now, Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja’s 1971 blockbuster ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ is all set to be remade. The film will be produced under the banner of Trinity Pictures, an arm of Eros International.
