Here's why Sonam Kapoor did not want to marry a man like her dad Anil Kapoor

The entire Kapoor khandaan is excited about Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s big fat Indian wedding. After a lot of speculations, the Kapoors released an official statement announcing the couple’s grand wedding on May 7th and 8th in Mumbai.

However, in an interview during a chat show, Sonam had once revealed that she doesn’t want to marry someone who’d be a reflection of her dad Anil Kapoor. Wonder what made Sonam say so?

Well, Sonam had revealed that she is a lot like her father, and so she wants her future husband to possess qualities of her mother Sunita Kapoor. In a candid confession, Sonam defined herself as dreamy and non-pragmatic like her dad. She also professed that she believes that she and her dad behave childishly at times which makes her mom worried about the two. That's why even her mom, Sunita Kapoor wished that she marries someone like her who could handle the ‘Neerja’ actress.

Praising her father, Sonam said how Anil Kapoor is like one of the mad scientists who are obsessed with their work. She also said that he wasn’t like normal people and that it was his brilliance that made him crazy. And she is also just that! So having a husband like him would be madness.

Alia Bhatt sure knows how to keep the nation going crazy; it’s either her films or the jokes and memes on her or her amazing comeback for haters. But with her most recent stint, she’s truly proved that she’s the Queen of Cool! Alia was shooting for her a TV show recently when she requested one of the cast members to mimic her father (Mahesh Bhatt), but the comedian could not do it perfectly. That is when Alia stepped in and showcased all her father's gestures and mannerisms. In fact, she went on to compare her father with a Gorilla. The actress said, “My father is a very passionate person. Whenever he gets excited about something, he begins to thump his chest and scratch himself. Sometimes he even tears off his shirt and pounds the sofa. Basically he turns into a gorilla.”

Abhishek has always maintained that he is Amitabh Bachchan's biggest fan. Talking about his equations with his father, Abhishek was quoted in an IANS report as saying that, "I've enjoyed each and every moment with him on camera. I've learnt so much from just sharing camera space with him. I can't wait to work with him again. Who wouldn't? Apart from a son wanting to work with his father who wouldn't want to work with Mr Amitabh Bachchan? I'm just excited at the thought of standing in the same frame as him. I don't care if I don't have a single dialogue." The 39-year old said that he has learnt so much just by watching his father at work. "Besides being his son, I'm his biggest fan. I refuse to believe anyone can be better than him. He's Mr Amitabh Bachchan, who, in my eyes, is the greatest human being on earth, not to mention the biggest star and actor on the planet and one of our living icons. Just watching him at work is revealing. By watching him I've realised what a bad actor I am. When you see him do a shot you immediately know there's no way you can be as good as him," he enthused.

He is a big foodie and he is very particular that I taste different types of cuisine."

Sonakshi Sinha is daddy's little girl. In an interview with The Times Of India, Sonakshi said, "He is extremely caring and a good role model to have. He is well-spoken and is a good person. Even though I am not as social as he is, I get my easiness to speak to people from him. However, I am also a reserved person and that could be misconstrued at times for being snobbish. My dad is quite boisterous. I am controlled. My brothers always like to believe that my father pampered me and I am spoilt. While it is not true, they felt that way as for my dad, I could not do anything wrong. So, if I did something wrong, I would put the blame on them and he would shout at them." When asked if her father was dominating, Sonakshi said, "That's the persona he has. He is 6 ft 2" tall and has a strong personality, but he is a real softy inside. He likes to help people and maintains good relations with everyone." In an interview with Indiatoday.in, Sonakshi has been quoted as saying that, her father has taught her to not let anybody cross any boundaries. She also added that he had always taught her to go with her instinct, with the flow and choose a role that she likes. It is often said that a girl looks for her dad in her husband. However, for Shruti Haasan, the rule applies for co-stars as well. “I like my co-stars to be clear-headed and focussed, like my father (Kamal Haasan) who is not just the smartest on the sets but also understands the entire machinery," asserts Shruti in a Mumbai Mirror report. The actress, who has wrapped up Anees Bazmee's action-comedy, Welcome Back, with John Abraham, says that he reminds her of her father. "They both bring positive energy to the sets. It's important not just to be positive but also that the actors fit their characters convincingly. Even at this age, my dad looks fabulous and I know how much commitment and discipline it takes.I'm neither as fit as him nor John, I keep eating all the time," she laughs. Talking about their relationship and marriage talks, Shruti says, "We have a relationship where I can openly speak to him, but there are certain lines which I will never cross with my father. Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja, who made her Bollywood debut with Second Hand Husband, says that her father never approached Salman Khan to launch her in Bollywood, reports PTI. The daughter of the Partner actor was quoted as saying that, "It was said that my dad asked him (Salman Khan) to launch me. But it is not true. That was just a rumour. I was never going to be launched by him. It was all created by media." While the actress seems proud of the fact that she made it into Bollywood on her own, she agrees that he had tips to share with her. She said, "He advised that, 'You don’t get involved so much into your work that you stop taking care of yourself or forget yourself. You have to keep time for exercise, gyming, your food and diet, eat while working.' A lot of people get so engrossed in work that they stop eating and that is where the fainting stories come. He told me to be like an empty glass, see what your director wants out of you. Don’t start flaunting your own ideas just because you have seen a lot of film shoots, because things were different earlier and now they are different. You have to move with times. He told me to give my best and leave the rest. And not to bother about the other things,” said Tina in an interview with IANS.
