You’ll be pleasantly surprised to know what critically acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been upto, while away from the film sets. The ‘Freaky Ali’ star, who is on a short break post the success of his comedy flick, headed back to his roots in Budhana in Uttar Pradesh, to practice a little farming. The actor took to his social networking handles to share pictures of himself riding the tractor and ploughing his field. The star, who often visits his fields when on a break from his films, informed fans that he is now trying to cultivate mustard using the centre pivot irrigation technique, that he learnt about when he attended the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Early this month, Nawazuddin was appointed as the brand ambassador of the Samajwadi Kisan Beema Yojna, which aims at providing insurance coverage to the farmers in the state. In previous interviews, Nawaz revealed that he loved going back to practice his ‘ancestoral occupation’ as it brings him ‘great pleasure.’

Amy Jackson will soon scorch the screen with her forthcoming film 'Freaky Ali' starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead. Present at the trailer launch, the actress talked about being completely smitten by Nawaz while shooting for the film. "I fell in love with Nawaz on screen after watching 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. So my love story starts with him from there. I was quite nervous to act alongside him. He is an excellent actor." The duo's fresh pairing is something to look out for in the film other than of course the impeccable script and outstanding acting chops.

With successful movies like 'Badlapur,' 'Manjhi: The Mountain Man' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' in his bouquet, Nawazuddin will now be seen with Amitabh Bachchan in Ribhu Dasgupta's thriller 'Te3n.’ While the recently unveiled first poster of the movie shows him with Big B on a scooter, he has two different looks in the movie. One is that of a priest and the other is that of a policeman. Set in Kolkata, the movie revolves around a crime which affects Big B and Nawazuddin’s characters. The film also stars Vidya Balan, who plays the role of a police officer investigating the crime. 'Te3n' will release on June 10 this year.

According to an IANS report, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has A-listers of Bollywood wishing to work with him, says he does not want to think about the prominence of big stars like Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan as he considers them as colleagues when he is performing."When I am on set, Shahrukh and Salman are co actors for me. If I start thinking I am working with Salman then as an actor, I would not be able to improvise the character I am playing. During shooting, I do not want to think about with whom I am working as it will corrupt my performance," he told media as he shared his experience of working with both the Khans.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is a son of a farmer. He was born in a small town called Budhana in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. There was not much scope for education in his village . However, Nawazuddin managed to complete his studies. As a child, he would stand in front of the mirror and enact scenes that he remembered. In his growing-up years, the Sarfarosh actor saw not more than five films. He was married at a very young age, and his wife stayed in his village while he struggled to become an actor in Mumbai.

The Badlapur actor moved to Delhi after completing his studies, and joined theatre. The income from theatre was not much, so he started working as a watchman. Nawazuddin had said in an interview that he also cooked while he was in Delhi, as he was not able to pay rent for his room. Soon, he realized that he doesn’t want to be a chef, but an actor. So he decided to leave the city and move to Mumbai. He said in an interview with 9XE The Show, "Bhukha marna hai toh Mumbai mein jaake marun."

To begin with, Nawazuddin tried to get roles in television shows and films, but could not grab one. He had a degree from National School of Drama (NSD) (he was a 1996 batch pass out), but was rejected due his looks. Nawazuddin’s struggle proved that racism had its roots deep in Bollywood. As a beginner, Nawaz played small roles, lasting a few seconds or minutes. From playing a waiter in his first film, Shool (1999), a criminal in Sarfarosh (1999), a pickpocket in ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ (2003), and a bandit in ‘The Bypass’ (2003), Nawaz did it all.

The Gangs of Wasseypur actor experimented with different roles, those which he never expected. Nawazuddin confessed that he had never kissed a woman, before he kissed his co-star Niharika Singh in Miss Lovely. Nawaz also confessed that he enjoyed his first kiss. He was seen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan playing the role of a Pakistani reporter, which earned him praises. Currently, the actor is preparing for the release of his upcoming film, and is ready to appear on the silver screen as a real-life farmer in Manjhi-The Mountain Man.
