Unlike most other stars who share stories of their struggles before their big break, for Kriti Sanon, life under the spotlight just happened to come her way. From a student of electronics and communication to a model and then a movie star, Kriti claims that it “just happened”.

That Kriti Sanon is one of Bollywood's next bright things goes unsaid. The star, who admits that her career in films came by chance, she credits her childhood passions for her ability to nail her moves on the dance floor. Raised in a middle-class, close-knit family of professionals in Delhi, Kriti says she was a very shy child but loved to dance. She learnt Kathak for about five years, which she says serves her well today when featuring in sensual dance numbers on the big screen.

Kriti has starred in her fair share of modern romantic flicks these past years but when it comes to real life, this beauty loves old-school romance. When speaking about matters of the heart, Kriti said she wants to be a part of the older generation and that she can never be on Tinder because she is “not a hook-up person.”

The actress revealed that for her, it's important to organically connect with someone and that she tends to get emotionally involved, which is why she fits the letter-writing generation.

Actress Kriti Sanon said that when the #MeToo allegations surfaced against her 'Houseful 4' director, Sajid Khan and her co-star, Nana Patekar the team took swift action as they were focused on not letting it affect the final product. Sajid stepped down from the project following multiple sexual misconduct accusations against him that lead to writer Farhad Samji replacing him as the director.

Nana, too, distanced himself from the comedy after being accused of harassment by actor Tanushree Dutta. He was replaced by actor Rana Daggubati.

"It was weird to be on set with all that going on. Someone else directing us suddenly in the middle of the film. But I give it to producer Sajid Nadiadwala sir, he took certain decisions and handled it very well. We didn't stop shooting for more than two days," Kriti told PTI.

From earning a Filmfare award for Best Debut in 'Heropanti' to now playing the role of Parvatibai in 'Panipat', Kriti Sanon has come a long way in the film industry. The actress recently opened up about working with Sanjay Dutt and bagging a role in the period film. According to reports, the star was "really looking forward" to working in a period film and was very happy when the opportunity came knocking. Moreover, the star admitted that she was happier to know that her character was well woven into the script and was not just a part of a love angle in a war film.

Since working together in 'Raabta', Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon have been rumoured to be dating secretly. However, the starlet recently came on record to address these rumours she had been reading about and compared it to a daily soap. However, contrary to the claims, Kriti maintained that they are " really good friends" and that she is "fond of him" but said their relationship is always going to be just that.
