'Ittefaq': Reasons to watch the Sidharth Malhotra-Sonakshi Sinha film

With the whodunit 'Ittefaq' (2017), Bollywood is bringing back the edge of the seat entertainers that hold the audience’s attention until the end. The posters and trailer of the film have already piqued the curiosity of the audience. According to reports, B.R. Chopra's grandson, Abhay Chopra, who is directing the remake of the 1969 film, has contemporized the story and rewritten the climax to retain the suspense element. Remake of the 1969 film 'Ittefaq'

'Ittefaq' (2017), directed by Abhay Chopra, is said to be inspired by the 1969 film of the same name, directed by Yash Chopra. The original film saw yesteryear superstar Rajesh Khanna and actress Nanda essay the role of the protagonists. Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha will be stepping into the shoes of the veteran actors respectively. It will surely be interesting to see the new actors bring freshness and new twists to the suspense thriller.

Intriguing plot with gripping scenes

The 2.27-minute trailer showcased some riveting scenes and got over 11 million views in less than 24 hours. The crime-thriller directed by Abhay Chopra revolves around a double murder with two suspects. It involves the thrilling chase by the protagonists and a tough cop trying to uncover the truth. The intense scenes will keep you guessing until the end. What happened on that ill-fated night? What happened to Vikram and Maya? Will the police be able to uncover the truth? Guess, we will have to wait and find out.

Uncanny yet fresh pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha

While both Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha have established themselves in the industry with some stellar acting performances and hard-work, this is the first time they will be seen together on screen. The trailer of the film and the first song 'Raat Baaki', that saw the duo displaying some sizzling chemistry, which only makes us wonder what magic they will create in the film.

Akshaye Khanna pulls off the tough cop act once again after 'Mom'

Akshaye Khanna, who won critical acclaim for his role of a cop in the Sridevi starrer 'Mom' (2017), returns to the big screen as one yet again with 'Ittefaq'. Akshaye has been presented as police inspector Dev, who will try to get to the bottom of the mysterious murder case. According to reports, the script was written specifically for Khanna.

Powerful dialogues

“Iss kahani mein teen pehlu hai, ek Vikram ka, ek Maya ka aur ek sach… Humein sach dhoondna hai” (This story has three versions, Vikram's, Maya's and the truth... We need to find the truth).
This and other powerful dialogues coupled with a Hitchcock-esque background score in the trailer, which made for an interesting introduction to 'Ittefaq'. The audience can expect many more of such intense dialogues in the film.
