Here’s why 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz' actress Bidita Bag insisted on retakes while shooting for intimate scenes with Nawazuddin Siddiqui
According to reports, the actress asked for many retakes while shooting the intimate scenes with Nawaz. Apparently, the debutante wasn't satisfied with the first few takes as she felt they were quite innocent, cute and lovey-dovey. She wanted to exhibit the rawness, passion and overpowering personality of her character through the intimate scene.
Bidita allegedly felt that one should "feel" the characters they are playing and not just “pretend” to be kissing. And also, Nawaz being a perfectionist, she wanted to match up to him.
Reportedly the actress also mentioned that Nawazuddin had been cooperative throughout the shooting.

Celebs talk about intimate scenes
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Pan Nalin, director of Angry Indian Goddesses, has spoken about the sex scenes in his film. "There is a scene in the film in which the star cast (Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Amrit Maghera, Pavleen Gujral, Anushka Manchanda & Rajshri Despande) walk in on their dishy neighbour washing his car, shirtless! They ogle at him shamelessly and pass comments that would make even the toughest of men blush," he said.
There is also a scene where a character sees a sexual dream about a guy she likes. Nalin also slams the male-dominated view in intimate scenes in films. "Be it Hollywood or Bollywood, when it comes to showing love or sex on screen, somehow everyone often ends up creating it from a male point of view. I often wonder, are Indian women titillated by an 'Item Song?'," he asks.

Celebs talk about intimate scenes
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's kissing scene in Tamasha had been axed by the Censor Board as the board members found the chemistry between the stars 'too hot to handle.' In an interview, when asked to comment on the same, Deepika said, "The kissing scene in the film isn't like it was reported in the media. I think certain scenes are part of a film because they are the demand of the story. However, I think that the kissing scene, which has been cut out, isn't going to make any difference to the film. Having said that, I respect CBFC's decision." However, Ranbir feels that the CBFC needs to become a little bit more lenient. He said, "I hope that they (CBFC) can become a little bit more lenient and a little bit more open-minded where art and films are concerned."
