SS Rajamouli regrets talking about Sridevi rejecting ‘Baahubali’ franchise
A while back, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ director SS Rajamouli had revealed details of what happened when their team approached Sridevi for the role of Sivagami. The ‘Mom’ actress was reportedly upset by Rajamouli’s comments as he claimed that she had made "exorbitant demands" which she has since denied. Now, the ace filmmaker says he regrets opening up about it.
While Rajamouli did not refute his claims, he added that he wished he had not discussed the whole matter on a public platform. Rajamouli also mentioned that he has a lot of respect for Sridevi for representing the South Indian film industries in Mumbai. He even wished the veteran actress the very best for her latest release ‘Mom’.
Hopefully, the two can now finally bury the hatchet.
‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ breaks another record as it completes 50 days in over 1000 theatres
According to reports, despite the fact that the SS Rajamouli epic has been running in theatres for nearly two months, it is still running strong in over a whopping 1050 screens across the country. Seeing how well it has been doing at the box-office, it will be a while before theatres stop screening the film.

The versatile actor seemed bowled over by leading man Prabhas' act in the film, which he thought was "fantastic". Nawazuddin's tweeted out his review saying, “I had seen Bahubali 2 and the atmosphere created in the film pulled me into it. Prabhas' act was fantastic.”
On the work front, Nawaz has an impressive line-up of films including Sridevi's ‘Mom’, Nandita Das’ ‘Manto’ and an action-thriller ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’.

Alia Bhatt calls ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ a “rock-buster”
The star had a lot to say about the SS Rajamouli epic and started out saying, “I mean, I liked it very much. I think it is absolutely fantastic. The way it is thrashing our box-office right now, I think all of us are shocked and also we kind of expected it because the first part itself was so good then the second part was just you know, another level.”
She also added that she is a fan of the director and the stars of the franchise. Talking more about the film, Alia said that it was like “bread and butter” for artists and a complete inspiration.
Finally, she gave her thoughts on what this feat meant for Bollywood, “I think we can take a cue from this, that we can also do it. If you have a vision, then even you can achieve this. So I have coined a new word for Baahubali- people say 'blockbuster', I think it’s a 'rock-buster' because it’s going rock steady at the box-office and is rocking everybody’s lives.”
The fantasy epic has earned over Rs 1500 crore at the box-office and is still going strong.

‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’: Six arrested for trying to blackmail Karan Johar
According to reports, six people have been arrested in Hyderabad for trying to leak an HD print of ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’. Apparently, the gang, which also includes a theatre owner even tried to blackmail distributor Karan Johar and demanded Rs 15 lakhs in return for not leaking the pirated copy online. Finally, Prasad Devineni, a representative of the film's production company Arka Media Works, filed a complaint to the Cyber Crime cell and the culprits were subsequently arrested. It turned out that the six-member gang was a part of an interstate movie piracy organisation.
Meanwhile, the SS Rajamouli film is creating records at the box office and is all set to cross the 1500-crore mark.

Kangana Ranaut recalls working with Prabhas and how they hated each other
At an event, the ‘Rangoon’ actress recalled the time she worked with Prabhas in the 2009 film ‘Ek Niranjan’. Remembering their unpleasant days on the sets, Kangana said that at that point, they used to fight a lot and that there was even a time when the two had a really intense argument and stopped talking to each other altogether. However, she went on to add that after watching ‘Baahubali’, she felt really proud of him.

Talking about the film’s unparalleled success, Rohit said, “The success of ‘Baahubali 2’ is because of the script and direction, and not because of Prabhas’ popularity.”
The director also pointed out that the film’s team did not have to go into a promotional overdrive to make it a blockbuster. “As I said earlier, a lot of promotions are not needed for a film to mint more money at the box-office. We normally see actors promoting their films massively on reality shows, in shopping malls, colleges and many other places, which is not needed indeed. Look at ‘Baahubali 2’ and you will get the answer.”
Rohit also expressed his desire to work with ‘Baahubali 2’ lead Prabhas in future. He excitedly said, “I would love to work with Prabhas, of course! Actually, I would love to work with all the actors in the South.”

One of these even included an endorsement worth a whopping Rs 10 crore. What’s more, many prominent producers, including a few from Bollywood offered him leading roles in big budget films. However, the actor turned everything down due to his commitment to the SS Rajamouli epic.
Some reports even went as far as suggesting that Prabhas was almost broke during this period, but continued to star focused solely on ‘Baahubali’.

The dapper actor, who is known for his work in Hindi, Marathi films and television was behind the deep voice of Amarendra Baahubali in the Hindi version. Moreover, Sharad has also dubbed for several Hollywood flicks in Hindi as well. He voiced Vin Diesel’s character in ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’. The second part in the "Baahubali" franchise is said to have registered the biggest opening for an Indian film.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan.

That's not all, Music Composer MM Keeravani, also happens to be Rajamouli’s cousin and the lyricists are his uncles K Shiva Shakti Datta and K Ramakrishna. Kalyani Malik, the Sound Recording Artist is also a cousin to the filmmaker. Malik’s son Mayur too lent his voice in some parts of the movie. Keeravani’s wife Sree Valli, on the other hand, became the Line Producer and his sons Kaala Bhairava and Sri Simha took on the duties of Singer and Assistant Music Director respectively. The composer’s daughter was also part of the ‘Saahore Baahubali’ song along with Rajamouli’s daughter.
Finally, the VFX Assistant for the ambitious project, Rajabali is also a cousin of the ace director. Thus with as many as fifteen relatives involved in the magnum opus, Rajamouli and his extended family have given us the masterpiece 'Baahubali 2'.

The makers had set up a magnificent set at the premiere venue that included a grand entrance resembling that of a palace, life-size figurines of elephants and a red carpet. Pictures of the set started doing the rounds online. The massive set was dismantled after the decision of cancelling the premiere was announced.
‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is presented by Karan Johar and features Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah in the lead. The film hits theatres today.

In the poster, Anushka, who essays Devasena in the film, can be seen sitting on a throne, looking regal in a royal blue saree and heavy jewellery. In ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, Anushka played a tortured, harassed woman who was held prisoner by Bhallala Deva (played by Rana Daggubati), the cruel, ruthless king of Mahishmati. What kept her going was the belief that one day her son – Shivadu will come to rescue her. Now, in the sequel, the audience will go back in time and witness the journey of the young Devasena.
