Aditya Narayan on car accident: It was an unfortunate accident and I feel sorry for what had happened

It was just yesterday that Udit Narayan's son Aditya Narayan made headlines for allegedly ramming his car into an autorickshaw and injuring the driver and passenger at Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri.

The singer has now issued a public statement voicing his concern over the accident, terming it "unfortunate".

"It was an unfortunate accident and I feel sorry for what had happened," said Aditya.

"Soon after the accident, I immediately took the driver and a women passenger in the autorickshaw to Kokilaben Ambani hospital where they are recuperating," he added in the statement.

According to reports, Aditya will take care of the medical expenses of the injured people. The lady, a widow, is now apparently doing better and likely to be discharged today, while the driver of the autorickshaw is undergoing treatment and is responding to medical help provided by the hospital.

The incident occurred near Lokhandwala in Andheri West on Monday afternoon.

Zulfikar Memon, Aditya's lawyer said, "Aditya has done what any responsible citizen would do. As a family, the Narayans have taken care of the injured person and are looking into the medical needs."

Road accident

Aditya Narayan was recently detained by the Versova police in Mumbai after a road accident. According to reports, Aditya Narayan's car hit an auto-rickshaw, injuring a passenger and its driver. Apparently, he took a wrong U-turn, leading to the accident.
The reports further stated that Aditya's Mercedes Benz rammed into the auto-rickshaw from behind in front of the Indralok Building, Lokhandwala Back Road in Andheri West. After that the singer apparently took the injured to the hospital for treatment.
By the end of the day, he was also granted bail with a fine of Rs 10,000.

The airport brawl

Last year in 2017, Aditya Narayan grabbed headlines for abusing an airline staffer at the Raipur airport after he was not allowed for carrying excess baggage of 40 kg.
According to reports, the staffer was asking him for charges of Rs 13000 for the excess baggage but Aditya reportedly said he would pay not more than Rs 10000. Gradually the arguments led to a verbal spat between them and during which Aditya reportedly made derogatory comments on the staffer.
He reportedly said, “Mumbai pahunchne de, teri chaddi nahi utaari toh mera naam Aditya Narayan nahi (Let me reach Mumbai. If I don’t strip you, then my name is not Aditya Narayan).

According to reports, Aditya passed a snide comment on a girl and was even falling over her. The mystery girl was with a bunch of buddies but she alone was more than a match for him. Before he knew it, she slapped him.”
However, when asked about the same, Aditya constantly denied the fact and said that no girl can get away doing that to him and that she did it for publicity.

Aditya reportedly went on stage to apologise to her and also appealed to the audience watching the show from their homes to forgive him. He insisted that he is not the way he is being portrayed and also thanked for all the support he has received from them over the years.
