While the actor is happy that ABCD 2 was such a hit, he recently admitted at an event that making money was not what the film was all about. He said, “I’m happy about it, but the film was not just made for that. It was made to inspire people. Many parents have told me that they are now proud of their children who dance.”

The Badlapur actor had said at the trailer launch, "You will see Indian steps in the film and there is a small section in the film which is a homage to Govinda." Not only this, in a scene where Varun is asked by Prabhudheva to show what he’s got, the actor mimics Shah Rukh Khan and other actors’ typical dance moves to impress him.

Varun Dhawan is being seen flaunting a ‘Michael Jackson’ tattoo on his forearm. However, the tattoo is a temporary one which Varun got made in order to match director Remo D’Souza. Varun believes that every dancer has a tattoo which defines his/her personality. Therefore, the Badlapur actor got a picture of MJ, to slip into his character of Suresh in the film ABCD 2. Moreover, Shraddha Kapoor playing the female lead of Vinnie, will also be seen sporting a tattoo in the film.

A dance film by Remo D’Souza cannot be complete without including some of his favourite contestants from the reality show Dance India Dance (DID) in the cast. Gauransh Chauhan, the DID season 2 participant who wooed the viewers with his mind-blowing Michael Jackson moves, will be seen performing like MJ in the film. Raghav Juyal from DID season 3 also has a prominent role in the film. The actor, who even calls his role almost a second lead, has a funny role in the film. He plays a key role of building up suspense in the dance drama.

ABCD 2: Lesser known facts

Learning an art for a film is a norm in Bollywood these days as the actors yearn for perfection. However, Varun Dhawan seems to have taken it too seriously and learnt not one, but 20 dance forms for the much awaited dance flick. The ‘Humpty Sharma’ of Bollywood will be seen performing the adrenaline booster ‘Shiva Tandav’ in a special song, and he has also learnt aerial silk while working for the movie. Varun was feeling very low after portraying the role of an emotionally distressed man in Badlapur, and he fortunately got a breath of fresh air after stepping into the dance shoes for ABCD 2.
