5 things to watch out for in Ranbir-Katrina's wedding

Coming as a dampener of sorts, it is confirmed that there will be no roka ceremony for Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The Kapoor lad has himself confirmed that there is no need for such a ceremony. In an interview with DNA, the Barfi! actor explained that the roka is a ceremony to confirm the match after which the girl is not allowed to meet other prospective grooms. He reasoned that since his case was different, there would be no need for a roka.

However, even if there is no roka, Ranbir has confirmed that the wedding will be grand in every manner. We agree. Here’s why…

Bollywood's big fat wedding: Bollywood's current heart-throb, Ranbir Kapoor is rumoured to get married to his ladylove, Katrina Kaif in 2015. Ranbir is not only the numero uno actor of the industry and one of the most eligible bachelors of the country, he is also the son of veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh and the scion of the Kapoor khandan. His alleged girlfriend, Katrina Kaif is a British-Indian actress. While both Ranbir and Katrina have denied their relationship in public, their holiday pictures that got leaked suggested something else. Kareena's performance: The gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan is Ranbir's first cousin and is obviously very excited about her brother's wedding. On Koffee With Karan, where the two had come together, the pretty actress teased her brother about his relationship with Katrina and said that she has her lehenga ready for the big day. She also revealed that she will be performing on Katrina's item songs such as 'Sheila Ki Jawaani' and 'Chikni Chameli' on their wedding. She also added that she has already started practicing for her performance. Well it will surely be interesting to see the hot actress dancing on Katrina's songs at her brother's wedding.

The Ex-factor: When celebrities get married, there is lot of focus on their exes. Media goes berserk trying to know what they feel about the wedding. And if the celebrities in question are Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, who were allegedly dating Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan respectively, things get a tad more interesting. While Deepika has gone on record to say how attached she was with Ranbir and how the breakup had affected her, Salman too has said that Katrina was a special friend and has often joked how Ranbir is taking everything from him. It will indeed be interesting to see if they are invited to the wedding and if they actually make it.

The Neetu-Katrina bond: Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Singh is apparently very fond of Katrina Kaif and fully approves his son's choice. She shares a great rapport with Katrina and is very excited about the upcoming wedding. She has apparently also started preparing for it. In fact a media report says that when Neetu was in London, she met Katrina's mother over lunch and both had a long chat over their children's future. Neetu's approval was very important for Katrina as it was rumoured that Neetu was responsible for Ranbir and Deepika's breakup. It was rumored that Neetu had asked Ranbir to leave Deepika as she did not find her right for her son. But the story is altogether different for Katrina Kaif.

The Guest List: Since it is Ranbir Kapoor's wedding, it is obvious that the who's who of Bollywood would be invited for the big fat wedding. The Kapoor khandan will leave no stone unturned to make it the most memorable wedding of the year. While the biggies like Kapoors, Bachchans, Chopras, Roshans and Mukherjees will be invited, it will be interesting to see which Khan will come for the wedding. While Katrina has worked with both Salman and Shah Rukh and Ranbir too made his debut with Salman. Hence, the question arises, will the Dabanng Khan attend the wedding?

Venue and theme: Since Ranbir-Katrina's wedding will be one of the most talked about weddings, both parties involved will make extra efforts to make sure it retains its uniqueness. The Kapoors will obviously want a grand wedding for Ranbir and since Katrina is from the UK, there is a possibility that the wedding could be held there.
