Nimrat Kaur recalls emotional visit to DU

Known for her critically acclaimed performances in The Lunchbox (2013) and Airlift (2016), Nimrat Kaur continues to share a deep emotional connection with Delhi, the city that shaped her formative years.

A graduate of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, she went back two years ago for a movie promotion. The visit stirred memories of her earliest experiences with performance and theatre. Recalling the touching moment, she shared, “It was so much fun to be back on that stage where I literally did my first play with the dramatic society. I was in tears. It was such an emotional experience.”


From college theatre to acclaimed performances on screen, Delhi remains a constant thread in her story. Nimrat was recently in the city for Delhi Times Fashion Week and recalled her time in college and the city's food that made college life fun. She spoke about her favourite food spots in and around her college.
