She revealed that Govinda’s mother had chosen her as his bride. “Even today, I say that I am married to Govinda because of my mother-in-law. She was the one who selected me for him,” Sunita said.

Reflecting on their bond, Sunita mentioned that she and her mother-in-law never had the saas-bahu conflicts. She credited their smooth relationship to their astrological connection. “Our zodiac sign is the same. Her birthday falls on June 7, and mine on June 15. We always got along well,” she shared.

Sunita and Govinda have been married for over three decades and continue to be one of Bollywood’s most loved couples. Despite the ups and downs in their journey, Sunita has always stood by Govinda, supporting him in both his personal and professional life.

Meanwhile, speculations are growing that Sunita Ahuja and Govinda might be planning for a divorce. However, neither of them has officially confirmed the news. Despite this, netizens have already started reacting to the reports on social media.

According to Bollywood Now, Govinda's rumored relationship with a Marathi actress is said to be the reason behind his alleged divorce from Sunita Ahuja.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja tied the knot in March 1987 but kept their marriage a secret. They publicly announced it after the birth of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. Later, they welcomed their son, Yashvardhan, in 1997.

According to an exclusive ETimes report, speculations are rife that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja might be heading for a separation due to certain friendships of the actor. A source close to the family revealed that Sunita had sent a separation notice a few months ago, but there has been no further development on the matter.


Also, when contacted, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, shared, "There have been issues between the couple due to certain statements made by some family members. There is nothing more to it. Govinda is currently in the process of starting a new film, and artists have been visiting our office for discussions. We are trying to resolve the situation."
