He wanted the character to feel unpredictable at all times. The audience should never know what he would do next. Whether he would show love or turn violent remained uncertain. According to Ghai, Sanjay delivered exactly what was expected.During filming, one moment stood out and stunned the entire crew. In a key scene Sanjay Dutt suddenly grabbed a co-actor by the neck. This action was not planned in advance. As he tightened his grip concern spread across the set.Some crew members suggested about stopping the shoot immediately and the moment felt intense and also unexpected. Many believed something had gone wrong. The tension on set was real and visible.However, Subhash Ghai decided to continue filming. He later explained the scene in detail.
