Preity Zinta reveals why she wouldn’t call him in a crisis

While appearing on an old episode of Koffee with Karan, Zinta recalled being caught in a tsunami and how that experience made her realise that fellow actor and friend Saif Ali Khan would be the last person she would turn to in an emergency.Joking about the incident, she revealed that during the crisis, the Agent Vinod actor had sent her a light-hearted message.

Elaborating on the moment, she said, “Because I was in the tsunami and I had the worst experience of my life, and he sends me a message going, ‘Hey, PZ, underwater or what?’ I was just like, ‘Ah! What kind of a guy is he?’”The Veer-Zaara actress was referring to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami that struck around 14 countries on December 26, 2004. She was in Phuket on vacation at the time along with her friends. Zinta has previously spoken about the harrowing experience and how she lost a friend in the disaster.

On the work front

Preity is set to return to the big screen with Batwara 1947, previously titled Lahore 1947. The Hindi-language period drama also stars Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, and Abhimanyu Singh.Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, the film is based on Asghar Wajahat’s play Jis Lahore Nai Vekhya, O Jamya E Nai. It is slated for release in August this year.
