When Kangana Ranaut spoke about flirting with 'Dhurandhar' star Akshaye Khanna and being completely ignored: ‘he never spoke to me’

Akshaye Khanna is winning praise for his intense role as Rehman Dakite in ‘Dhurandhar’. The renewed spotlight has not changed him and he rarely react to buzz. Many celebrities say he keeps to himself on set, speaks little and says focused. Amid this buzz, an old interview of Kangana Ranaut has resurfaced online. She revealed that she tried to flirt with Akshaye but he gave no response.

What Kangana Ranaut said about being ignored

The moment came on ‘Koffee With Karan season 3’. Kangana appeared with Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. When host Karan Johar asked if she had ever flirted and been ignored. Kangana answered honestly and said, “Akshaye Khanna. I tried to talk to him and then I tried to flirt with him but he never spoke to me. He doesn’t talk, he doesn’t talk to anybody.”




Anil backed her up with a grin. He added, “ya she told me ki yaar yeh dekhta hi nahi hai meri taraf (he doesn’t even look at me).” The exchange felt light. It also matched Akshaye’s reputation.

Their past collaboration and its fate

Kangana and Akshaye shared screen space in ‘No Problem’. The movie is directed by Anees Bazmee and backed by Rajat Rawail and Anil Kapoor. The ensemble cast included, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Sushmita Sen, Neetu Chandra and Shakti Kapoor.

Kangana last appeared in Emergency. She played former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her self-directed project. She now focuses on politics as a BJP MP.

Akshaye, meanwhile, rides a career high with ‘Dhurandhar’ which crossed ₹1,300 crore worldwide. He next reunites with Sunny Deol in Netflix’s ‘Ikka’, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and written by Althea Kaushal and Mayank Tewari.
