Not many are aware that late actor
Irrfan Khan and actor-writer-musician
Piyush Mishra, both passed out from National School of Drama, were rivals during their stint there. While promoting his autobiography, Mishra spoke about his relationship with the deceased actor.
Mishra shared about how Irrfan, who was his junior, was on his own trip of acting and so was he. But both belonged to different styles of acting, Irrfan was more of a thinking actor while he worked more on intuition and both used to criticise each other.
But things changed when both were cast in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Maqbool where Irrfan was playing the titular role and Mishra was cast as Kaka, a very important character in the entire story.
Talking about Maqbool, Mishra revealed that Irrfan really helped him a lot during the shooting of the film as Irrfan had a lot of TV experience and Mishra had never done TV. In that film, everyone helped everyone. It was like a world cup, which every team wanted to win, and every team won as well.
