As fans wait in great anticipation for Salman Khan's next film 'Tubelight', director
Kabir Khan and his two leading stars have been doing their part to promote the film across all media platforms. In a candid chat with TOI

, the director spilt the beans about his film, roping in
Salman Khan and
Sohail Khan and also opened up about
Shah Rukh Khan's cameo.
When asked about SRK's role in the film, he said, "At the moment, I cannot reveal much about his character as it would spoil the fun for the audience. But it's a beautiful character and while writing the character I knew that I would need a superstar to essay the role."
Kabir went on to say that Salman readily agreed to have Shah Rukh onboard for the film. As "Shah Rukh is very close to Salman" and also shared a great rapport with Kabir, he was more than happy to be a part of the film.
Speaking of his long history with SRK, Kabir said, "Shah Rukh was my senior in college and I studied from his notes in film school. His wife Gauri and I did a musical called 'Westside Story', we have known each other for a long time and he is very warm and gracious."
Speaking about the big on-screen reunion, Kabir said, "I am very glad as it's a magical scene and I think it'll be a great treat for all the fans to see Salman and Shah Rukh Khan on-screen together after 20 years. It's going to be a very very special treat for all."
The movie which also stars Sohail Khan and Chinese actress
Zhu Zhu in pivotal roles is slated to release on 25 June 2017.
