Virat Kohli on Anushka Sharma’s prep for Chakda Xpress: ‘She is finding the process challenging’

Anushka Sharma is currently gearing up for her next film ‘Chakda Xpress’. The actress has been training super hard for the same and is often seen sharing fun BTS shoots from the same. Recently, Anushka’s husband and cricketer Virat Kohli lauded her for all the hard work she has been doing to essay the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami in the film.
Talking about Anushka’s prep for Chakda Xpress, Virat Kohli shared in a talk show, “For me, a movie was just about watching it for three hours.Then I saw Anushka train for the film and I was like respect boss. She is finding the process challenging. This is the first time she is doing such a thing and that too by learning bowling.”

Anushka had earlier shared that she and Virat often discuss her progress for the film. Speaking to magazine, the actress shared, Whenever I’ve had a good day learning, I like to share my videos with Virat, to get his feedback. Luckily, he’s not a bowler so I listen to my coach more. But I do turn to Virat for batting tips." This will be the first time for Anushka to portray the role of a cricketer in a film.
Talking about her experience of taking on the challenging role of Jhulan Goswami, the actress during an event shared, “Chakda Xpress is a really special film. It is extremely close to my heart because of the subject that it focuses on. I was proud to hear Jhulan’s story and her contribution towards women’s cricket in India. It is an honor for me to bring a film that is inspired by her life and times to audiences around the world”.
She also added, “Chakda Xpress is one of the hardest films that I have ever done but it is Jhulan’s discipline, hard work and passion that encouraged me to try and emulate the same. I cannot wait for the world to witness the story of this icon of women’s cricket.”
