Vidya Balan says The Dirty Picture is for an adult family

Though Vidya Balan admits her upcoming film, "Dirty Picture" has an A certification, according to her the film can still be viewed with the family.
"Yes, of course you can watch the film with your family. But since it's been given an A certification, it is an adult film,” she says, “Which means all those people in your family who are above 18 years of age can watch the film."
However, Vidya doesn't feel there is anything vulgar about the film despite the certification. "If it's made aesthetically, like "Dirty Picture" has been, there is nothing vulgar or cheap about the film. And if it was cheap, I wouldn't have consented to doing it in the first place," she adds.
At having heralded a new genre of bolder, women centric roles in Bollywood, Vidya says, “If audiences feel I am responsible for ushering in this new era, I am glad and grateful. But I am only doing roles that are closer to my own, personal beliefs…and in that I am getting to live my long cherished dream.”
