Socialites from all walks of life, police personnel and students joined in this heartening effort.
Noted film personalities also joined in, the likes of Jayasudha, Vishnu, Sekhar Kammula, Posani Krishna Murali, RP Patnaik and Raja.
Singers, Karunya and Sobha Raj, were also there. Along with the general public, they expressed their protest against terrorism and diabolic efforts to destabilise the peace and harmony of the historic city. Jayasudha said that just condemning terrorist activities as acts of cowardice would not suffice, but something even more effective should be formulated to tackle the menace. She said she would pray for the bereaved family members of the blasts victims. RP Patnaik said that Gandhism alone would defeat terrorism. “Let them put bombs any number of times. But, let us follow Gandhism to peacefully fight against them.But, Posani Krishna Murali, who recently launched a lampoon against the contemporary politics in Operation Duryodhana, did not accept the views of RP Patnaik. Can you please show me one Gandhian? I will touch his feet.” Posani's remedy to terrorist activities in his own words: “We require thorough cleansing of the dirt in our politics. As long as politics isn't clean, extremism will be rampant.” Hero Vishnu appreciated the spirit of Hyderabadis. “I wholeheartedly appreciate Hyderabadi brothers and sisters. They maintained great restraint. We all should join hands to collectively fight out anything that is anti-human.” The actor also congratulated the police department for their timely diffusion of explosives at other places, thereby averting further tragedy.
