<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MUMBAI: Times Music artiste, singer Xenia launched her debut album <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Meri Ada</span> amidst considerable fanfare in the plush environs of Enigma at the J.W.Marriott on Thursday night. <br /><br />Doing the launch honours was actor Jackie Shroff, as well as Mr Arun Arora, President of the Times of India Group and CEO of Times Music amidst a host of well-wishers and friends hailing from the advertising world, tinsel town and Bollywood.<br /><br />Dressed in a slick black cat-suit and silver, Xenia showcased four trendy tracks from <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Meri Ada</span> album to the packed house at Enigma.
On stage, performing alongside were several of Remo''s dancers who have also featured in Xenia’s song-videos.<br /><br /><span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Meri Ada</span> is a collection of eight popular compositions ranging from pop, ballads, folk and dance. The music has been composed by composer Raju Ali and choreographer-director Remo has directed the four stunning videos in exotic locales that support the album. Xenia has a deep and rare comfort-level with any situation or culture giving her the flexibility of singing Hindi, Urdu and even regional tongues as well as the <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">pizazz</span> of catchy urban <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">indipop</span>.<br /><br />Hailing from an orthodox family of Jammu & Kashmir, Xenia has travelled a difficult path to success. Last night during the launch celebrations, all the hard work and hard times seemed to lead the road to this point of unadulterated glory. </div> </div>
