Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 minted US $ 8.5 million in North America

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar starrer Stree 2 has scripted history not only in India but also in North America, the biggest market for Hindi films outside of India.
In India, the film is already the highest grossing Hindi film of all time, and 6th highest grossing film of Indian Cinema. The film is currently in the hunt to become the first Hindi film to mint Rs 600 crore. The film recently completed 60 days at the box office, and currently stands at a total collection of Rs 597.15 crore. It's journey to Rs 600 crore club has been impacted over the last few days as the film has been released on OTT.
Coming to North America, the film has minted about US $ 8.5 million in the North America ( United States of America and Canada) box office, making it the highest grossing Hindi film of the year, and also the 9th highest grossing Hindi film of all time in the circuit.
Stree 2 also features Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Pankaj Tripathi, with special appearances by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, and Tamannaah Bhatia. The makers are considering a spin-off focused on Shraddha Kapoor’s character, exploring the backstory of her life and her relationship with Stree.
Stree 2’s climax gave a hint about the next installment in the horror-comedy universe. It spoke about vampires, and that film is to be directed by Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya fame, and features Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna as its leads.Samantha Ruth Prabhu was earlier supposed to be part of the film but she backed out because of her health issues.
