Athiya Shetty has now shared her support for the producer Nidhi Dutta. Just before the release, writer and producer Nidhi Dutta shared a very personal post on Instagram. She posted a throwback picture from the sets of Border (1997). In her message she spoke about dreams, memories, and how that one moment on set changed her life.Nidhi wrote, “This picture is from the sets of Border (1997)… A young girl who clearly must have seen a dream through that lens that day & it put her on a path to a journey that will reach its destination tomorrow… The dream however couldn’t have been possible without certain people… First and foremost my husband and partner for everything in life… Binoy thank you for being the first person to hear my narration and for telling me I had a great script to hold my hand through it all… I will forever be grateful...”Among those touched by Nidhi’s post was Athiya Shetty. On the film’s release day Athiya reposted Nidhi’s message on her Instagram story. She added a short but very emotional note. Athiya wrote, “The little girl that never stopped dreaming. Sitara will be so proud. Go Mama.”This simple message caught a lot of attention online. Many felt it showed how special this film is for Nidhi Dutta and its is not just as a producer but as the daughter of J.P. Dutta who made the original 'Border'.'Border 2' released in theatres on January 23, 2026, and early viewers have already shared long reactions on social media.
